National Transplant Organization
The ONT (National Transplant Organization) of Spain is the best example of the brand Spain. Its advanced protocols and modus operandi have made Spain the world leader in organ donation and transplantation. Since the creation of the ONT in 1989, Spain has gone from 14 donors per million inhabitants (pmp) to 34.6 donors per million inhabitants. This means, from being in the lower middle part of donation rates in Europe to be by far the highest rate, not of Europe but the world, with nearly 5% of all transplants worldwide.
Since the beginning of Dronlife project, the ONT led by its director, Dr. Rafael Matesanz, has been involved and has strongly supported the initiative, and with their cooperation we intend to develop protocols for Dronlife that allow more efficient management of the whole operation, from the hospital of extraction to the application one
